I'm going to try to make this short, as to not bore any of you :)
I have lots and lots of pictures, and I'll just throw in some words as needed! (and I'll apologize ahead of time, because most of these pictures are cell phone pics. Sorry!)
We woke up early and made the 3.5 hour drive to Portland, stopping just once for breakfast.
Roadtrip reading material
Trying to get Scott to smile. Impossible.
We made it!!
We got to Portland too early to check into the hotel, so we headed straight to the Zoo!
You'll have to excuse the snotty nose....
And her crazy outfit!
Barely taller than a baby bear!
We spent Saturday evening exploring Ikea (tax-free!!) and hanging out in the hotel room. It's amazing how doing nothing somewhere other than home can be so relaxing!
We woke up early (thanks to our living, breathing alarm clock, Elliott) and ate breakfast at the hotel. Once we had all of our things packed up, we headed for the Children's Museum.
Light-up block tables
The water room was so cool! And it was blue!
Learning how to golf.
We stopped for lunch at Joe's Crab Shack in Vancouver before making the trek back home.
Being silly with the crab leg
Scott hates seafood, but he always crack the crab for me :)
Tormenting Ellie. I'm sure she'll hate seafood, just like her daddy!
And finally, we saw this on our way out of Vancouver:
I've been wanting to visit the Cotton Babies store ever since I heard of it opening a few months ago. I was so bummed to learn that they're closed on Sundays! I was sooo close!
Sorry about the massive photo dump, but I did warn you!
I had so much fun on our weekend away. It was definitely hard to come home and step back into the real world!
I can't wait for summer and all of the adventures it will bring!
