My three words today?! 18 months old.
How in the world.....?!?!
Elliott has been a joy these past 18 months.
With every new stage I tell myself how much fun it is, and how it is even better than the stage before.
And it's always true!
I now have a walking-talking-potty-training-fit-throwing-direction-following little toddler on my hands!
We sing ("bumble-bee"), we dance (vigorous head bobbing and leg stomping), we count (TWOOOO), we know names for many important people in our lives (ahhpa), and we know where our eyes, ears, and nose are.
This is the stage full of kisses, animal sounds, and repeating everything mommy and daddy say!
I don't know Elliott's exact stats, but I will soon at her 18 month check up. She's around 20 pounds and 28 inches
I do know that she sleeps like a champ (it seriously took us 18 months to get a good nap routine, and I'm dreading the day that she cuts out her morning nap!), eats well when she wants to (rice, bananas, and mac 'n cheese are her current favorites), and loves to play outside!
I'm loving each and every day with her!
And I thought going to work would be easier as she got older......but nope! I was wrong!
Sometimes she is happy to run into the babysitter's arms and say "bye momma" which totally melts my heart. And other times, she cries and reaches out for me as I close the door, which totally breaks my heart! Ugh! I wish I could stay home with her every day! Some days I flip through photos of Ellie on my phone just to get me through :) and then I come home to my bright, smiley girl and all is well again!
Elliott Erin, you are the smartest little girl I know! You learn something new every day, and you usually teach me something new, too! I love you more than you can know!!
