The Flower Girl

This weekend we attended my Sister-in-Law's wedding. It was gorgeous!
I want to preface this post by saying that I cannot do this wedding justice with any of my photos. My sole intention is to show off my daughter as a flower girl. I cannot wait to see the professional pics from Mark and Kristin's special day......because then you might get a glimpse of just how gorgeous their day really was! Until then, let's enjoy some adorable-ness that is my daughter :)

I'm seriously so proud of this little girl.
We had two really long days (with one short nap each day) of wedding rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, prepping madness, and then finally the big moment. My stomach was in knots as the bridesmaids began to walk.

Now, I realize that the flower girl is not the most important aspect of a wedding (the bride is, duh), but as the momma of the flower girl, I just wanted her to do well! I didn't want to cause a scene, and I wanted Elliott to behave as beautifully in public as she does at home. And you know what? She did!

She was her cute little self the whole time. As soon as it was her turn to walk, she of course started to dance. And as she reached the seated audience, she just wanted to stop and chat with people (who may or may not have been bribing her with gummy bears). Once she was about half-way down the aisle I took her hand and led her to the finish line and our seats. She didn't do anything wrong, I was just getting antsy and thought that she was going just a little too slow ;)

All in all, she did a fabulous job! Elliott was rewarded with lots of gummy bears, and a long night of dancing (she seriously killed it on the dance floor.....I have no idea where she gets it). I thoroughly enjoyed being there for my sister-in-law's wedding, and it was a fantastic celebration!

Congratulations Kristin and Mark!!

i was so stressed when zoe was a flower girl too and she was almost 6! haha, she did perfect though and i think her flowers were even perfectly spaced as she dropped them, like she was counting or something-it was hilarious!

Awe, the dress, the flower, the shoes I'm in love! What a little doll you have there. The family picture is a keeper, so sweet!
