Don't let this photo fool you.....summer has yet to arrive here in the Pacific Northwest. While the rest of the country is scorching, up here we've got overcast, cloudy, rainy, 65-ish degree weather (thanks Seattle Times for rubbing that in our faces this morning, too).
Monday was another dreary day, but suddenly around 7:00 pm the sun made an appearance! And, it was warm! So we took advantage and got right out in it! We gobbled down our dinner, and then made a mad dash for the door! We walked around our neighborhood, where suddenly everything was alive. Law mowers mowing, kids playing, dogs being walked......see? All we need is a little sunshine!
At the bottom of a big hill that holds our neighborhood is an amazing tall, grassy field. I've been waiting for the perfect evening sun to take some pictures out in it. I think we got some good ones of Ellie....who just so happens to be afraid of tall grass. Sheesh! So to distract her from the scariness that is grass, we gave her these sunglasses.....and all was well :)
Linking up with these lovely ladies. You should, too!

Love, The PNW!

Ellie, looks perfectly content with the new shades. Thank God for little moments like that. We've been going out later and alter to beat the heat. My only solace? Fireflys. I love them now as much as I did when I was a kid. Its what gets me through summer.
the weather... sigh. there are NO words.
its freaking JULY hello mother nature.
She's just sooo cute!!
"The sun will come out, tomorrow..."
Think "Annie."
