Summer is here.

Finally.

I think it's safe to say that summer has graced the Pacific Northwest with it's presence.

Finally.

We've waited a long time to see a weather forecast that didn't predict rain anytime in the next four days.

I'm not holding my breath that it won't rain tomorrow or on my next day off.

But we are enjoying the sun with picnic lunches on the front porch and splashing in baby pools.

If I told you how warm it was when these pictures were taken (72* F), and that the water in the pool was fresh out of the hose (i.e. freezing), then you would never believe me that she got in, sat down, and splashed around for quite some time.

And if I told you that, you might just think we're crazy! 

The truth is, we are.
