We had a really fun 4th (if you couldn't tell by the photos above)!
We were around family, with no pressure to do much of anything.
We didn't even stay up late to watch any cool fireworks display
(although I tossed and turned until about 2 am listening to all the loud booms outside my window.....not cool, some of us had to work Tuesday, you know!)
Anyways, we sat around, ate food, talked, and watched these two munchkins play:
This is Elliott and her cousin, Michael.
Out of all of her cousins on both sides, Michael is the closest to Ellie in age.
For that very reason, these two will always be made to pose for pictures together, and will probably be forced to play together until they're old enough to tell us to stop.
Here's my shout-out to my brother-in-law Adam. He was hoping to make it onto the blog, haha!
I love when there's just one or two little kids around....everyone seems to stop and focus in on the cute things they may be doing at any given moment.
It never ceases to amaze me how something someone so small can captivate such a large audience.
Elliott and Michael got to throw some pop-its and hold sparklers.
That is, until a spark landed on Michael's head. Poor guy.
There was no serious damage, but we decided it was time to put the fireworks away.
These two brothers will always have a special bond rivalry.
Scott speaks for our entire family when he says "Huskies all the way"! We are diehard Husky fans.
Well, we can mark down another awesome 4th of July....done and done.
And, if you live in the Pacific Northwest, let's all give each other a high-five because summer is officially here!!!
yay for summer!!
