I seriously can't even believe I'm writing a TWENTY TWO MONTH post!
Seriously, I'm not going to dive into the
OMG-where-did-the-time-go-I-miss-my-sweet-little-baby-my-how-time-flies song and dance.
We'll just jump right into how awesome and awesomely cute my little nugget is, and spare us all a few tears....mmmmmkay?
(sidenote: these are all completely un-edited. I'm just too darn lazy to edit them right now. My dad and I had a blast testing out our new backdrop and some new lighting toys,
and we had the perfect model, too!)
I should just let the pictures speak for themselves.
Elliott is fun, lively, creative, smart, goofy, stubborn, and loving.
My heart is SO full, because I get to be her mommy! I love everything about her.
Lately, I'm seeing how her stubbornness and strong-willed-ness actually can be used for good! I believe that we are at an age where Elliott's behaviors can be molded and shaped into a pleasant, respectful, fun kiddo to be around.....without breaking her spirit. Her strong spirit is what makes her so enjoyable to be around, after all.
Ellie has her own thoughts and opinions, and now we get to see and hear those. She's talking a lot lately (new words include "honey!" "I don't want to" "don't" "stop" "I want that" "broken" "what's that?" "what happened?" "I pooping", just to name a few), and understanding even more. She's become our little helper when we ask her to throw something in the garbage, or help put laundry into the washer or dryer.
Elliott is weighing in right around 22 pounds this month (hmmm 22 months old on the 22nd, weighing 22 pounds.....) and wearing a size 5 shoe. She wears anything from 12-24 months in clothing, and I'm ever so grateful that her 12-18 month winter coats from last year still fit her! Yay!
Ellie's favorite things right now are: coloring, walking, scooping things, helping in any way with cooking and chores, animals (specifically horses and dogs.....she points them out everywhere we go), swimming, dancing (always dancing), singing "Happy Birthday to You", typing and playing the piano, playing on slides and other big kid toys, talking on the phone (especially "face time"), and eating frozen peas (seriously, the kid LOVES frozen peas).
Elliott Erin, I love being your mommy! I really can't believe how fast the past two years have flown by, but each day all I see is you! It's like you've always been here, and yet I see you changing and growing every day! You're not who you were yesterday, and you're not who you will be tomorrow. I love being able to see you grow and change. You make me so proud! I love you more than you will ever know!
