I'm not sure if that's grammatically correct, but yes, we got rained on. This weekend we went to pick out our Christmas tree, which is one of my all-time favorite traditions! We met up with our good friends Katie and Chase, had a nice cozy breakfast, and then drove up to Farmer Brown's Tree Farm. I love that place, and I love picking out the perfect tree.....this time there was just one problem: the rain!
The rain that started the second we finished breakfast and ended the minute we drove away with our tree. The rain that was "wet rain" as I like to call it. The rain that drenched us, and made me and Ellie spend part of our time there hanging out in the car.
But the rain couldn't stop this parade!! Katie and I each picked out our favorite trees, and our manly men heroically sawed them down and tied them to the top of the car! We love our men :)
I'm so glad that we could share this tradition with Katie and Chase. This time of year is so special, and it's even more special when it's shared with loved ones! I'm thoroughly enjoying the smell of our fresh cut tree, the twinkling glow of the lights, and the look of wonder on Ellie's face when she touches the branches and needles :) I'll post pics soon of it all decorated, you can look forward to seeing lots of photos of Ellie in front of the tree for about the next month or so!! Get ready!
