DIY Wednesday: Gumdrop Wreath!!

Ok, I've been super excited about this one since the day that The Paper Mama posted this. Isn't a gumdrop wreath a fabulous idea?!?! (And with her wreath looking so amazing, I'm dying to see what else The Paper Mama pulls out for her daughter's first birthday!)

I loved this tutorial and decided that this would make a great Christmas decoration. Now you know that I'm not uber-crafty, so you know this project is easy! All you need is gumdrops, a plain wreath, and hot glue! I started by lining up the gumdrops perfectly even on the wreath. And then I decided that was a bad idea! Ha! It actually goes better if you just randomly glue the gumdrops on, and squish them as close together as possible. I made a makeshift bow out of curling ribbon, because the wreath needed a bow, and I wanted to cover up some bare spots. I think I will make a cuter bow later, one out of actual ribbon, but this works for now!

I took it to work where it is hanging on our office door, and we got lots of "oooh"s and "aaaah"s. I feel like it's going to hold up pretty well and could be used again next year......as long as gumdrops don't "go bad"!

very cute! I have so many little fingers around here that I am sure a few would get missing and there would be no one to admit to it.

Yes I love how it turned out! The small one is just right :) the gumdrops were probably $3 if that! Super cheap when you buy them in bulk!
