Here we are again....another weekend! I'm so glad it's Saturday......that means the week is over. Time for fun. For relaxing. For a new week to start again soon! Last week was rough for us. If you haven't heard about it yet, you can read about our little adventure in parenting here.
With the rashy-rash behind us, Elliott and I are enjoying our weekend. She's pretty much back up to full-speed, and that makes me so happy! I, on the other hand, am not sure when I'm going to be back up to full-speed. This week was long to say the least, and now it's a single-parent-weekend for me! I've got lots of help from my family, and lots of fun stuff for Ellie and I to do......but I'm just wondering when I'm going to get to re-charge, ya know?! Hopefully soon. I need like a day. Just one day. To sleep in, maybe get my hair done, clean the house from top to bottom, relax and do something just for me.....then I might be ready to face the world again. I don't see that happening anytime soon, though, so I'm just gonna go with what I've got. Ice cream. lol :)
That's right.....Ellie is in bed, and Scott's away, so ice cream will be my date tonight :) I hope you're all having a great weekend. Here is our weekday recap, as seen through my iPhone:
Monday
In the ER at Children's hospital, waiting for the doctors to figure out what this rash is all about!
Tuesday
Still rashy, super cuddly, and just a tad bit crabby.
Wednesday
We sent Scott a daily picture update of the rash......he still had to go to school and work while I stayed home with Ellie, and this is how we let him know how she was doing each day. And, I pulled out the Moby because that was the only way I was going to get anything done!
Thursday
Thursday was the first glimpse we had of the old Ellie....she was definitely perking up a little bit. We ventured out to Target, where I bought her this tunnel. I felt like she deserved something special after such a rough week. Then, nap time for her turned into baking time for me. Banana bread, yum! Nutella Banana bread?! The jury is still out on that one....
Friday
With Elliott definitely on the mend, we sorta resumed normal life. Melissa and Stella came over for a playdate. I love watching these girlies play together! Then, we had a family night at the outlet mall (brrrr.....who builds an outdoor mall in the pacific northwest, anyway?!)

I am glad that Ellie is back to her old self again! My husband is gone this weekend, fishing, so I am single mom this weekend too. However, we will be sitting at home. Adelynn is now sick..so that took away having a "fun" weekend.
I hope you get a chance to "re-charge" yourself! Good idea with the ice-cream...I should have thought of that! :)
I'm so happy that Ellie is back to her normal self!
